The Gamer’s Oasis has been a staple in Countryside Village since its opening in 2021, offering a large collection of video games and consoles across decades of the format. Recently, the owners expanded with the opening of the Stamina Bar, an energy drink and smoothie shop located next to The Gamer’s Oasis.
The Stamina Bar is currently run by owner Hallie Henderson, who drew inspiration for the drink specials the store serves during her five years working in a coffee shop.
“I thought that [The Stamina Bar] would be a good expansion for gamers, and the opportunity arose that the business next door moved, so we took advantage of it,” Henderson said.
Construction on The Stamina Bar started in April 2025, and the store had its first full day of business on October 8. To tie in with The Gamer’s Oasis, The Stamina Bar features a video game theme in both its decor and menu.
“We’ve got different drink infusions to celebrate Mario, Crash Bandicoot and Fortnite. The vibe is different; it’s not just a quick drive through, grab a drink and go store,” Henderson said.
The Stamina Bar also offers a small selection of snacks to purchase, but drinks remain the main focus. Multiple different options for drinks are available at The Stamina Bar, with menu options that can be made on the spot, or canned and bottled drinks available in the coolers.
“We’ve got smoothies, Italian sodas, non-caffeine options, grab-and-go juices and Red Bull Infusions,” Henderson said.
The owner’s recent partnership with Red Bull provides new opportunities for customers and supported the launch of the Stamina Bar.
“[Red Bull] brings free drinks for all of our big tournaments at The Gamers Oasis and other events. We also get exclusive access to new flavors as they release,” Henderson said.
Though the menu at launch is relatively small, offerings are expected to expand over time to keep selections interesting. Drink specials and seasonal items will be rotated monthly.
“We’re gonna do different monthly drinks, from Red Bull to other energy drinks and smoothies. In the summer, we’re going to bring in a ton of different frozen mixed drinks. Every month we’ll bring in something new,” Henderson said.
Even with her previous experience in drink stores, Henderson notes that running the Stamina Bar still has its challenges and differs from managing a retail game store.
“The drink store is more having to keep on top of inventory and making sure that we have the product in, while a retail game store is a little bit more fun,” Henderson said.
While the Stamina Bar and the Gamer’s Oasis offer two different shopping experiences, both work in tandem to provide an excellent experience for video game fans.
“The two stores bring in customers to each other,” Henderson said. “People may pop into the original store after getting an energy drink and find something they needed, and vice versa.”
