Ice cream company eCreamery recently opened their second location in Omaha, partnering with The Cookie Fix to bring a whole new line of delicious desserts. eCreamery West still offers amazing homemade ice cream and gelato, and now features dozens of cookie flavors as well. 

Although the shop’s interior is small, I found it to be admittedly cute. It had light colors to compliment the bright colored ice cream and colorful frosted cookies. Everything looked amazing; every cookie was taken straight out of an advertisement. The interior was also decorated to fit the upcoming holiday, Halloween, which made it even more inviting. When I think about a stereotypical bakery, this is exactly what comes to mind. My one complaint is a lack of seating. There is nowhere to sit inside and there are limited seats outside. It isn’t a major issue, ice cream is easy to eat standing, so it didn’t affect my experience.

During my visit, I sampled several different menu items, the first being a snickerdoodle cookie. This cookie was soft, warm and very sweet, exactly what I am looking for in a cookie. The texture was perfect, just sturdy enough to stay together before falling apart in my mouth. The next item I sampled was the mint chip ice cream. I’ve always loved eCreamery’s homemade ice cream, and this visit didn’t disappoint. The mint chip was wonderful, a perfect harmony of the classic combination of flavors. The ice cream was silky and creamy. It was evident that a lot of time and effort went into the creation of it. The final item I tried was the classic ice cream and cookie sandwich. It combined chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream and was coated with chocolate chips. The sandwich was phenomenal. The cookies were arguably better than the snickerdoodle and they paired with the ice cream perfectly. 

Overall, I would recommend this dessert parlor without a doubt. Both the ice cream and cookies are fantastic and it would be a perfect way to wrap up a night. I will definitely be going back to get more in the future.
