Basketball:
It was Prep week. The boys varsity basketball team played the Blue Jays Friday, Feb. 21. The Warriors caged the Bluejays beating them 55-53. This was the last regular season game for the boys. Westside will host districts this coming weekend. The Warriors will play Saturday, March 1 at 5 p.m. vs. Milliard North. If the team wins, it will advance to game three in which it will play the winner of the Papillion-La Vista vs. Millard South game on Monday, March 3 at 7 p.m.

Girls basketball districts will be held at South Sioux City. The Warriors will play on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. vs. Omaha North. With a win, Westside will play in game three against the winner of the South Sioux City vs. Papillion-La Vista South game Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.

Wrestling:
This weekend was the state wrestling meet held at the CenturyLink Center. Westside finished 27th overall in the state, with senior Ismail Hamze placing sixth.

Show Choir:
ATSC and SI headed up to Hasting, Minnesota this past weekend to participate in the Swinging on the River Show Choir Competition. ATSC placed second.

“I think our performance in finals was the best performance we have ever had,” ATSC member senior Maddie Jensen said. “Everyone felt really good about it and it really felt like we won. I am really proud of anyone.”
