It is a much debated topic: when does one start listening to Christmas music? Is it December 1? The day after Thanksgiving? Or is it when the first snow falls?

There are people who fall into all of these categories. There also are die hards who listen to Christmas music year-round. So is there such a thing as Christmas music season?

I, for one, love the Christmas season. I love the lights, the ornaments, the presents under the tree and the lull of Christmas tunes as I wrap presents. For me, Christmas music is part of the season.

Why would people ruin that aspect of the holiday by listening to Christmas music year round? The days following Thanksgiving are the prime time to start the Christmas stations on Pandora. Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey just don’t sound the same singing about the season unless it is actually the season. However, with that being said, if you want to listen to Christmas music year round, more power to you. That is awesome. Maybe you will be able to spread the Christmas cheer year round. To each his own.
