BREAKING: Westside Names Eadus-Leapley Softball Coach

Westside has named PrimeTime softball coach TJ Eadus-Leapley as the new head of the sport at the high school level. Brandi Paul, communications director for District 66, broke the news in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.

“TJ Eadus-Leapley has been named head softball coach at Westside High School,” the release said. “TJ also coaches select softball with PrimeTime and has helped them win back-to-back state championships in 2016 and 2017.”

Eadus played softball at the collegiate level for Oregon, Central Arizona and Creighton, earning first-team Missouri Valley honors as a senior. She was then drafted by the New England RipTide of National Pro Fastpitch, where she played in 18 games in the summer of 2008.

“She will bring great softball experience as a former player at Oregon and Creighton University,” the release said.

Eadus-Leapley was preceded by Kevin Dunn, who coached 22 seasons for the Warriors. Westside went to 10 state tournaments during that time period, and they earned one state runners-up and one state championship under Dunn.
