With finals right around the corner, a number of Westside students will begin to fall off the face of the Earth and retreat to the UNO library. Friends will become unwanted distractions and social lives nonexistent.

As all the stress piles up, I can’t help but ask the question: do I even study? I hate to break it to all you overachievers, but my answer is no. The final is designed to see what you know from the whole semester. If you don’t know it by now, you probably never will.

I would encourage you to let your final be what every test is supposed to be; what do you know. Not how much do you remember from last night. The chances of your grade dropping from an A to an F are slim to none.

My advice for the rest of the semester is to focus on what you are working on now. Although it is hard, finish your homework, review for quizzes and try to retain some form of knowledge on the topic.
