The Westside girls varsity basketball team took a trip to Lincoln to square off with Lincoln Southwest in the NSAA Class A semifinals. Despite scoring just six points in the entirety of the fourth quarter, and none in the first 7:11.5 in the quarter, Westside advanced to the state championship by virtue of a 45-40 victory over the Silver Hawks. Coach Steve Clark said Westside is almost there, but they need to stay together.

“Just staying composed is the best thing we can do,” Clark said.

Westside advances to the NSAA Class A state championship game on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. inside Pinnacle Bank Arena.
