Warriors Upset Bulldogs in Midst of Sweep

The Westside varsity basketball teams took the short trip to see Omaha Burke on Friday, January 12, 2018. After holding the Bulldogs to 37% from the floor, the Westside girls rolled past Burke by a score of 70-48. In the game following, Jadin Booth sank a free throw with 1.3 seconds left to knock off the fourth-ranked Bulldogs, 66-65. Chase Thompson led the Warriors with 21, and Westside forced star guard Shereef Mitchell to put up 28 of their 65.

The teams return to action when they host Grand Island on Saturday, January 13, 2018, beginning with the girls at 3:30 p.m.
