Returning runners with opportunities to become great is the theme of this season for the girls cross country team, with several varsity runners back this season. Head coach Theresa Gosnell has high expectations for the returning girls.

“I think this year’s runners are going to do really well,” Gosnell said. “I think top to bottom we have a solid group of girls coming back this season.”

Major returners include senior Blair Coziahr, juniors Grace Ward and Mariah Tessin, and sophomores Marta Hailu and Megan Algya.

“We are kind of rebuilding this year,” Coziahr said. “We have some new girls that will need to step up and lead the team.”

With a group full of potential, the team is looking toward a successful season. Check Westside Wired for the score of the meet.
