With less than two weeks of school left for graduating seniors, there is still a number of responsibilities that must be taken care of in order to receive a diploma on May 23. Here’s a list of important instructions and events that will assist seniors in their final stretch of high school.
Check out forms– Seniors are required to get signatures from all of their second semester teachers, as well as from three IMC’s. These forms will be handed out during graduation practice on Friday, May 17. Students will be able to turn in complete check out forms between 8:15 am and 1 pm on Monday, May 20 in the guidance office.
Computer check in– Thursday, May 16 is when seniors can begin returning laptops, cases, and chargers in room 222. However, it is encouraged to address any damages or issues as soon as possible to speed up the check in process on the final two days.
Transcript fees– There is a list posted near the guidance office of all guidance-related fees that need to be taken care of before check out. This includes a $3.00 charge for every additional transcript that students requested to be sent.
Commencement practice– Students will be assigned a faculty sponsor to sit with at graduation practice on Friday, May 17 at 9:40 am. It will take place in the main gym. A list of sponsors can be found on the trophy case windows.
Caps and gowns– After commencement practice, seniors can pick up their caps and gowns for the official commencement ceremony. The ceremony is at 7 pm on Thursday, May 23 at the Ralston Arena. Seniors are to meet at the community rink at 5:45 pm to prepare. Caps and gowns must be checked back in immediately following the program in return for official diplomas.
Along with these responsibilities, seniors must maintain passing grades for the rest of the semester in order to graduate.
