Dear Mother Nature,
I am looking out of the window right now, and all I can think is, “really?”. Really Mother Nature? Is this really necessary? Seriously let’s think this through. For the past two days, it has been a down pour. Do you know how hard it is to wake up in the morning when it is raining? The slippery roads have caused much traffic and I am tired of getting a shower every time I want to go outside. And then there is the thunder. My dog, like many dogs, hates the thunder. He pants and begs for us to comfort him. It has been thundering on and off for the past two days. I cannot describe how annoying it is to go down into the basement every time my dog hears a rumble. You’ve made doing homework almost impossible. I hope you’re happy.
And now, the snow. Look Mother Nature, I know you might feel bad that we only had four snow days, which to be honest were lackluster, but your time to make up this season’s snow has passed. It’s embarrassing Mother Nature. All you are doing is making yourself look like a crazy old woman who doesn’t know what month it is. Listen, the rain we can all deal with, it is expected. But you missed your chance to please up with the snow.
But don’t take this too close to heart. For this does not ruin our relationship. Think of the good times. Think of last year. Remember the 80 degree weather? No one hated you then. Those, were the good times. And we can go back to those good times. It is not too late. Listen, I don’t expect tomorrow to be sunshine and happiness. Take a few days to settle down. Let a nice high pressure system roll in and all will be good. You will be forgiven.
Sincerely,
Tyler Siegel
