At the end of the month, the theater department will put on their final play of the school year.Rumors, a play written by Neil Simon, was originally performed on Broadway in 1988. The show features four couples that are getting together for a 10th wedding anniversary  dinner party. Charlie and Myra is the couple hosting the small party. However, this innocent get-together goes downhill after Charlie, the Deputy Mayor of the city, shoots himself in the earlobe during a suicide attempt. Then the hostess, Myra, disappears causing panic to ensue. The dinner party guests spend the night trying to conceal the events from the police and media.

Below are the couples of the play, which will be performed April 25th at 7:00, April 26th at 7:00, and April 27th at noon.

Lenny & Clair Ganz: Played by Michael Keefe and Jenna Hager. Lenny is a sarcastic accountant who works for Charlie, and Clair is a gossip-loving housewife. The couple gets into a car crash on the way to the dinner party crashing Lenny’s brand new car and giving him whiplash.

Ken & Chris Gorman: Played by Matt O’Dell and Kylea Mathison. Ken is a focused and well-spoken attorney for Charlie who is hard of hearing, while Chris is a lawyer who focuses mostly on the paperwork aspect of the job. Chris is a prior cigarette smoker who battles with her addiction while under stress.

Ernie & Cookie Cusak: Played by Ari Juster and Eden Ginsberg. Ernie is a calming psychiatrist who is married to Cookie, a host of her own cooking show. Cookie was asked to cook the dinner for the party but has trouble because of her bad back.

Glenn & Cassie Cooper: Played by Daniel Keller and Jessica Murphree. Glenn is in the running for the state senate and thinks of himself as a big shot. Cassie is a jealous and high strung trophy wife that later accuses Glenn of having an affair.
