That’s right. The popular comedy television series Whose Line Is It Anyway? is making a comeback. All three original cast members Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles and Wayne Brady will participate in the improv-comedy show which is expected to air this summer. However, host Drew Carey will reportedly be replaced by comedian Aisha Tyler who currently hosts her own talk show, The Talk.
News broke that the U.S. series would be returning for a ninth season when Mochrie took to twitter, “Oh, by the way, Whose Line is coming back. More details later.”
The show is famous for presenting random scenarios to the four comedians, and watching them act it out in return for imaginary points that amount to absolutely nothing. It’s entertaining, I promise.
Even though Carey is not in on the reunion, I’m glad to see the original lineup of actors returning, because it wouldn’t be the same otherwise. I’ll be tuned in to catch the trio (plus one guest) act out all my favorite games like Scenes From a Hat, Let’s Make a Date, and Foreign Film Dub.
