Patrick Carney, drummer of the Black Keys, recently described the Grammy’s as a place for “music and not money” when asked how he felt about Justin Bieber not being in attendance. Bieber took his not-so-subtle response over Twitter saying, “the black keys drummer should be slapped around”. We all could’ve moved on and called this feud over, but beliebers sure don’t take things lightly. Carney instantly got hate messages and threats after dissing the pop heartthrob turned Kevin Federline look-a-like, however, used his sarcasm and witty comical remarks to defend his musical honor.
@ross_garfield tweeted, “You are some one hit wonder. JB has been doing it for YEARS,” to which Carney replied “True.”
@_callmemaevey tweeted “lmao you are literally a piece of **** @patrickcarney,” to which Carney replied, “Trust me I literally am not. I literally would not be able to type.”
@itunesbiebers tweeted, “@patrickcarney justin deserve a grammy okay u old ***** *****,” to which Carney replied, “That’s great buddy!”
Seeing Carney’s humble yet sarcastic comments gave me a smile. Even though the Black Keys drummer shouldn’t even be wasting time with these ignorant Justin Bieber fans, he sure showed them up.
