The varsity wrestling team competed in the district wrestling tournament at Papillion La-Vista High School on Saturday, Feb. 9. Out of the 8 teams that competed, Westside placed sixth overall. To get to state, a wrestler had to place in the top four at their district. Westside had four state qualifiers. They are as follows:
Joe Wiles- 3rd place in weight class 106
Dylan Sorrell- 4th place in weight class 113
Erick Vargas- 2nd in weight class 126
Brady Novak- 4th place in weight class 170
These four wrestlers will be competing at the state wrestling tournament on Feb. 14-16 at the Century Link Center.
