With less than four months left before graduation, seniors are getting ready to have their diploma. Every winter as an underclassmen I listened to many different seniors talk about senioritis. Saying that they had little to no motivation to do their work anymore or even come to school. Mostly I thought they were just being dramatic, until I reached second semester of my senior year. Multiple times a day I hear “I so don’t want to do this anymore” or “I just want to be done with this”. Not only do I hear it, but I catch myself saying this as well. Each day it gets a little bit harder to get out of bed, and each night I have a little less motivation to get my work done.
Since high school is supposed to be fun, and we should be looking forward to graduation, we all need to find a way to make it through the next four months. Thankfully we have multiple late start days, intersession, and Spring Break to break up the time. Along with this we also have Winter Formal and Prom to look forward to during our last few months. After April seniors will finally be done with Senior Project, which in and of itself allows for massive celebration. All graduating seniors should be focused on making their last few months in high school the best they possibly can, and enjoy the end of this four year journey.
