Junior Summer Khalil has wanted to play division one soccer her whole life. The dream is finally coming true. Khalil has committed to play for Creighton. Creighton began contacting Khalil her sophomore year in high school. Khalil chose to play for Creighton because of the coaches. Khalil has been working hard with multiple coaches to stay in shape.

“I’ve been working really hard for this, and  working really hard, even harder work starts now.” said Khalil

Accomplishing this dream didn’t come easy.

Khalil plays soccer in the spring and the offseason. She practices every single day improving her skills because the position she wants to play requires her to be in the best shape.

“ I always feel really good after I workout and I really enjoy practice” Khalil said.

Although Khalil has already signed, she has no plans of slacking off now.

“My goal for high school is to set a record on the record board for goals scored in a game.”

Khalil almost beat this record last year as a sophomore, she came within one goal. She is excited to play for Creighton when she graduates but is looking forward to the spring season.

“I love highschool soccer, playing with a whole new group of girls and I enjoy the practices.” said Khalil
