A Night of Murder and Mystery

The winter play entitled A Night of Murder and Mystery is a combination of three different plays put together.

The first is a play off of Hamlet called “The Omelet Murder Case.” In this play Shakespeare is a detective and he has to solve the murder in Hamlet. The second one is “The Attempted Murder of Peggy Sweetwater.” In this play, three guys try to solve the attempted murder of Peggy, and she keeps getting into weird sitiations. The third play is “The Plot like Gravy Thickens.” This is about a guy who is very wealthy and helps provide for many people in need. Eventually somebody ends up killing him and people have to figure out what happened and who did it.

In this production you may see some familiar faces. “The Omelet Murder Case” consists of eight cast members with Daniel Dooling playing Shakespeare. In “The Attempted Murder of Peggy Sweetwater” there are three main characters. Michael Keefe plays Llewellyn, Amber Kischer plays Dowden and Jules Ross plays Saunders. In the last play, “The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens” Kershaun Stewart plays the roll of Edward and Kylea Mathison plays Allegra.

The theater department puts on two plays each semester and they are excited to debut the latest one.

“I’m excited for it to be over. Just to have a successful run of a play is really nice,” said stage manager Lauren Akers.

The play will be running on December  6th, 7th, and 8th at 7pm in the Little Theater. Adults are $8 and students are $5.
