Dressing Up for Halloween

Dressing Up for Halloween

As Halloween is approaching, kids are spending time putting the final touches on their costumes. Halloween stores are clearing out and the best candy is flying off  store shelves. Thursday, Oct. 31 people have a free pass to dress up as anything they want. So how old is too old to dress up for Halloween?

This depends on who you ask. Some will say Halloween is just for “kids” and that only children in elementary school should be allowed to partake in the festivities. Others believe Halloween should be enjoyed by people of all ages. They think that it is perfectly acceptable for grown men to dress up and ask for candy.

Me? I’ve never been a big fan of Halloween in general. I’ve always thought the idea of begging a stranger for candy while dressed in a costume was odd.

But thats just me. I was always embarrassed to go ring the neighbors’ doorbells.

As far as dressing up is concerned, if you are going to do it, do it wisely. Teenagers, stop dressing up to go trick-or-treating.

You’re not a kid anymore. It is time to grow up and face the music. It’s creepy. Instead, dress up for a Halloween party or to hand out candy.
