Westside Wired’s May Playlist
Summer is right around the corner. I always find myself gravitating towards classic rock tracks during the summer months. The nostalgia and memories that tie in with the genre sum up the American teen summer perfectly. The playlist leads off the playlist with the road trip classic “Burnin’ for You,” by Blue Oyster Cult. This song brings back memories of tearing down I-80 on the way to the lake house or family reunion. I added “In the Street” by Big Star and “Freaking Out the Neighborhood” by Mac Demarco to represent running from house to house with your neighborhood friends. And finally, some of my favorite campfire classics, “Melissa” by The Allman Brothers Band and “Dance The Night Away” by Van Halen. After such a long year for everyone, it’s finally time to enjoy our summer break. Check out Westside Wired’s May Playlist to capture the sounds of summer.
