Dunford to Become Next Girls Soccer Head Coach
In January, former girls soccer head coach Nathan Moseley was looking for an assistant to add to his coaching staff. When the search was complete, Elite Boys Academy technical director Chris Dunford was on the sidelines.
Now, six months later, Dunford has agreed to become the next head of the Westside girls soccer program.
“There are few schools I would enjoy doing high school with,” Dunford said. “Westside is one of them.”
Dunford, who has established himself as a coach in Nebraska with three years of working on the Creighton Women’s Soccer staff as well as coaching for Gretna Soccer Club and working with the Elite Boys academy, will brings his soccer knowledge to Westside beginning in the 2020 season. When the opportunity arose, he said that he couldn’t say no.
“It was a pretty easy decision for me,” Dunford said.
Dunford will replace English instructor Nathan Moseley, who stepped away from the program to focus on his teaching and family.
