Warrior Girls Wrap up Season at State Tournament
The Westside girls basketball team traveled to Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on Thursday, February 28, 2019, where they took on Lincoln Southwest in the first round of the NSAA Girls Basketball Championships. Despite junior Ella Wedergren’s 18 points, Westside would fall to the Silver Hawks by a 69-55 score.
The Warriors finished the 2018-19 season with a record of 22-5 record. That included six games against division one teams, a set of games in which they went 3-3. The season continued a run in which the Warriors have been to the state tournament four of the last five seasons, and they have earned a 112-21 record overall. Westside has now been to the tournament 15 times in program history with three championships and one runner-up finish.
