Westside Boys Swimming Breaks Decade Old Record
The boys swim team has the started the season in an exciting fashion as the squad broke the 4X100 freestyle relay record. To make matters even more significant, the record was broken against arch rival Creighton Prep. Senior Jackson Hanus claims it was a plan to break the record that meet.
“We had discussed earlier this season that we were going to break the pool record at the prep meet because our nerves are always high at that meet and we always swim well against our rivals,” Hanus said.
Even though they were confident that they could break the record, Hanus said it was still very exciting for him and his team when they did it.
“We were super excited and super happy that we obtained our goal,” Hanus said.
The next home swim meet is against the Millard West Wildcats on December 18th. Come down to the pool and support the Warrior swim team.
