The Westside swim team hosted the annual Warrior Invite this past weekend, Saturday, Feb. 1. The Warriors hosted the annual Warrior Invite, which was the destination of 11 schools from around Omaha and Lincoln. Despite the packed field competing, Westside held its own in the meet. Both boys and girls finished in second place in their respective divisions. The girls were edged out by 1.5 points by Millard North with a score of 426.5-425. On the boys side, Westside lost to Millard West with a wider spread of 117 points, the score being 502-385 in favor of the Wildcats.

Coming off of this performance, Westside will compete in their next meet against Ralston/Gross Catholic Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Ralston. This meet against Ralston will be swam at an important time in the season, as it is the last competition before the Metropolitan Conference Championships, which take place next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-15.
