Restaurant Review: Omaha’s Recently Debuted Food Hall, Inner Rail
Tucked away in a parking garage in the northeast corner of Aksarben Village lies one of Omaha’s newest additions: Inner Rail, a food hall housing many different restaurants. Inner Rail’s selection ranges from pizza to crepes and everything in between. The food hall also includes a bar and outdoor seating. One of the features I enjoyed most within Inner Rail was the atmosphere. I went to Inner Rail during the opening week, and found the vibe to be unmatched in Aksarben as well as in Omaha. It was very busy, with tons
of people walking around and visiting each restaurant.
In my opinion, the selection at Inner Rail is like no other. The restaurants include Bánh mi shop, Ela’s Creamery, Maharani Indian Kitchen, Noli’s Pizzeria, Alta Calidad Taqueria, Sofra Creperie, B2 Burger, Kathmandu Momo Station, Briggs o Bean and the bar The Backstretch. Each of these restaurants offer something unique to eat which is why Inner Rail is so appealing to people who like variety, such as myself. I tried both Noli’s Pizza and Sofra Creperie and was very impressed.
Sofra Creperie has many traditional crepe toppings, such as strawberries or nutella, and some more unorthodox combinations, such as ‘breakfast’ or ‘s’mores’. I found that all of the ingredients went well together on the crepe that I tried. The level of thought put into the recipes was evident and the crepes were consistently cooked to perfection; I could definitely see myself going back in the future.
Noli’s Pizza also has a very traditional menu, however, it provides a wide variety of different pizzas, from the expected cheese to more exotic pizzas like caprese. Noli’s Pizza also offers salads, pasta and other Italian dishes.
Overall, I was very impressed by Inner Rail. Each restaurant brings many unique menu items to the table. There is plenty of available seating, including a beautiful courtyard. I would recommend Inner Rail to anyone who wants to try something new, as the selection and atmosphere are like no other.
