Season Recap: Boys Soccer Rebuilds During Trying Year
Last week, the boys soccer team took on Bellevue West in district play. Although the team did not make it to state like previous seasons, they still had its victorious moments such as wins over Millard West, Omaha Central and making the Metro Conference Tournament semifinals. Ethan Goldner was a senior on this years team and he feels like his team grew a lot this season.
“Even though our record wasn’t the best, I think the boys grew a lot this season and this will put them in a good position to be a great team next year,” Goldner said.
Goldner also mentioned discussed his favorite memory of his senior season.
“My favorite memory was beating central with a last minute goal in both regular and overtime,” Goldner said.
Goldner also seemed very proud of his team for making metro semifinals.
“The biggest accomplishment was making the metro semifinals and competing with some of the top teams in the state,” Goldner said.
