Boys Soccer Prepares for District Play
The boys soccer team is going into a very important part of the season as districts starts on Tuesday, April 30. So far ,the warriors have had ups and downs this season. The ups include victories over ranked teams such as Millard West and Omaha Central and the downs include a 2-0 loss to Creighton Prep. Ethan Goldner is a senior on the boys soccer team and he says the goal is to get to state.
“The goal is to make it to state, but it’s also a goal to stay calm and composed and work together to get the job done,” Goldner said.
Goldner also says he feels that his team is ready.
“I feel the boys are ready. We have had a tough schedule and districts is a clean slate so anything can happen at this point,” Goldner said.
Goldner is a senior so that means his warrior career is over after this season. He shared his thoughts on this.
“I am sad to have my time as a player coming to an end but I’m excited to play one last districts and I think we have a really good shot at making it far,” Goldner said.
Westside will begin district play on Tuesday, April 30, at Gretna at 7 p.m.
