On Friday, the Warrior football team will play their last regular game at Phelps field. The game will kickoff at 7 p.m. against Columbus and senior day presentations will start at 6:40 PM.

The senior class feels very sentimental about the final home game. Senior Brody Alvarez describes how it seems like his career has gone by in a flash.

“One of those moments where you just think back, really think about how fast it has gone. I get kinda choked up thinking about it,” Alvarez said.

The Discovers have a losing record at 2-5 while the Warriors are undefeated at 7-0. Even though the opponents record is lesser senior Cade Jochum seems pumped for tonight’s game.

“Hopefully our defense can continue to play strong and not give up any points and we’ll see if our offense can keep rolling and put a lot of points on the board. We are all excited and ready to go,” Jochum said.

Westside and Columbus will do battle on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Phelps Field.
