Varsity Spring Sports Results: April 5th
Baseball:
The Westside boys varsity baseball team competed in the Millard West Invite on Thursday. After giving up five runs in the third inning of their first game, Westside clawed back in it, but ended up dropping the matchup with Millard North 6-4.
In the second game of the day for the Warriors, Westside broke the bats out and came away with a 13-5 victory. These results moved the Warriors to 8-5 on the season.
Boys Golf:
The Westside boys golf team competed at Benson Golf Course on Thursday in the Papillion-La Vista Invite. The Warriors finished with a combined team score of 311. Emery Gigantelli led the way with a score of 75, Grant Jabenis finished with a 76, Mike Hickey shot a 77, and Jacob Hellman finished with an 83.
Boys Soccer:
The Westside boys soccer team kept their undefeated season rolling with a 5-0 victory over Papillion-La Vista in their first match of the Metro soccer tournament. The Warriors advance to play on Friday, April 6, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. at Phelps Field, weather permitting.
Girls Soccer:
Westside continued their hot start with a 10-0 win over Bellevue East in the metro soccer tournament. The Warriors rolled on behind a hat trick from Sylvia Fehr, two goals a piece from Lauren Fehr and Kaley Heinz, and one goal each from Baylee Seaman and Dani Barton. They advance to play at Papillion-La Vista South at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, weather permitting.
