The Westside varsity volleyball team traveled to Omaha Marian Wednesday night in hopes of winning district A-1 and advancing to the NSAA State Tournament. The Warriors came up just short, however, after they went 1-1 in the tournament. The girls took down Lincoln Northeast in the first round by a score of 3-1, but they fell just short in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-14) sweep at the hands of Omaha Marian. The results earned them a district runner-up plaque.
Westside finished their season with a record of 18-22 which totals up to 34-42 the last two years under head coach Beth Peitzmeier.
