Photo Gallery/RECAP: Warriors end Thunderbirds’ streak on senior night

October 16, 2017

The Westside varsity football team played host to the second ranked Bellevue West Thunderbirds Friday night.  Led by 459 passing yards from senior quarterback Dylan Plautz, the Warriors were able to pick up a 73-62 win.  The win snapped a 21 game winning streak that was held by Bellevue West.

Although the Westside defense gave up 596 yards, their offense picked up the slack.  They picked up 518 offensive yards in the win.  Additionally, freshman cornerback Avante Dickerson picked up two touchdowns off kickoff returns, and Jack Bush did not miss a single attempt.

The Warriors, who now hold a 6-2 record, return to action at Norfolk on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 7 p.m.
