Week In Review 5/2-5/9
Boys Soccer
Boys Soccer brought home the gold last week when they beat Papio South in the District Finals. The game was a close one, after being ahead 2-0 for both halves the Warriors conceded 2 goals and went into overtime. The game ended with a last minute goal from Christian Hanus and secured the Warriors their place in State.
Girls Soccer
Girls Soccer had a successful season this year going 11-6 and only conceding 12 goals the whole season. Sadly, the girls season came to an end after a loss to Millard West in the District Finals.
Boys Golf
Boys Golf is still currently sitting at 11th in the state according to Nebraska High School Standings. They placed 3rd in the Creighton Prep Invitational and are ending the season with the upcoming metro tournament starting on May 11 at Benson Park and the district tournament on May 16 at Holmes golf course
Girls Track
The girls track team will be competing in Districts at North Platte this Wednesday. Girls competing are Tabby Guyett, Carlee Guyett, Julia Clements, Caroline Leibel, Sarah Harrison, Claire Watsabaugh, Taylor Schendt, Ashley Harrison and Candace Quaites.
Boys Track
Boys Track has had a long season so far, Milo Greder currently holds the school record for both the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter dash. Greder also placed 1st in the 1600 and 3200 at Metros . The 4×8 group composed of Abdinasar Abdi, Milo Greder, Alec Reilly and Jakob Phillips also took second in their division.
Baseball
Last week, the boys baseball team had some tough competition. They competed against Papio LaVista on May 3 and fell 2-6. The next day, the boys played Omaha Central and won 2-1. Meeting one of their rivals again on May 7, they lost to Papio LaVista South 1-2.
