Most bacterial-filled locations at Westside
The winter season is sneaking up on the students of Westside High School and bacteria is basically everywhere. No one is safe. If you haven’t been immunized then you should probably take some extra precautions to not contract any bacteria.
Have no fear though, the Westside biology team is here.
Each year, biology classes test for some of the most bacteria filled places in the school. The students swab different areas around Westside and transfer the bacteria from the swabs into petri dishes. It is all a waiting game from there as the bacteria creates colonies and students record the amount of colonies per petri dish.
Based off of the data taken, certain places of the school are much dirtier than others. There are a few areas that we might advise you to stay away from, and others that are surprisingly not as bacteria filled as one would have thought.
Parts of Westside that students may want to stray from during this season include: sink drains, desks, paper towel dispensers, windows, phones, and vending machines.
