Weekend in Review
In a weekend light on events, the Warriors had a strong showing.
To kick off the weekend, volleyball played on Thursday at Omaha North and swept the Vikings, winning the match in three sets. The team’s next game is the metro tournament, starting today, Oct. 26 and going through Thursday Oct. 29. Good luck Warriors!
Next, boys and girls cross country competed at the state meet. After great district performances by both teams, the teams were geared up to compete. On the girls side, the team placed 11th, with senior Phoebe Placzek finishing with a team best 37th out of 102 runners. On the boys side, the team finished in fourth place, with junior Milo Greder placing second individually. The fourth place finish is tied for the best in school history. Congrats on a great season to both teams!
Finally on Friday, the football team hosted Fremont for senior night. The Warriors started slow in the first half, but turned it up a notch in the second to pull away and win 50-20. Senior Logan Duryee rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries, averaging 15 yards a carry. The team starts the state playoffs this week hosting Papillion-LaVista high school. Good luck Warriors!
