Sports Week in Review
After the first fully loaded week of fall sports, Westside saw its fair share of highs and lows.
To start, the girls golf team had a tournament at Eagle Hills Golf Course hosted by Papillion-LaVista high school. The girls placed second as a team. Their next tournament is at Milts Golf Course hosted by Ralston High School on Wednesday.
Over the weekend, softball participated in the Blair invitational. They played three games, first, playing Plattsmouth High School and winning 11-1. They then played Logan View High School and won 16-1. Ultimately they faced the host team Blair, but lost 13-3. They face Omaha Bryan tomorrow at the Westside softball field.
On Thursday, the boys tennis team hosted Lincoln Southwest for a dual match. Unfortunately, they couldn’t pull out a win, but have the chance to bounce back when they face Creighton Prep at the Koch Tennis Center tomorrow.
Finally, on Friday the football team played Bellevue West High School for their first game of the year. The team ultimately lost 42-22. Despite the loss, the team looks to turn things around and beat Creighton Prep on Thursday at Westside.
