Westside unifies the community for 24 hours
Starting last night at midnight and ending tonight at midnight the Omaha community and over 570 non-profit organizations are participating in Omaha Gives. Omaha gives is a 24-hour donating event run by the Omaha Community Foundation. The goal is to increase philanthropy around the city. All the money and gifts are donated to non-profit organizations.
Omaha gives has been a part of the Omaha community since 1982. When donating there will be a $10 minimum and no maximum.
Today, May 21, outside the Alumni House on the corner of 90th and Pacific streets, Westside students will be holding signs to promote Omaha Gives before and after school. The Warrior mascot will make an appearance, too. Make donations here. So far there have been over 3,000 gifts donated.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Omaha Westside High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
