To have a thick edge
One thing you will have to learn about me is that I’ll never sugar-coat things. I’ll never beat around the bush, or tell you something to make you feel better while telling you what’s wrong. If I’m going to say I don’t like something, I’m going to say it.
People always call me a blunt person. They always think that I am rude and do not have a limit on what I say. However, you wouldn’t want someone talking behind your back or not telling you the truth, would you? Whenever people ask me what I think of something, I will tell them it’s either amazing, or it is not to my liking. The way I look at it, if I do not like it, someone else is bound to not like it either. However, I will tell you what’s wrong with whatever I am looking at, in my opinion. There is a huge difference between being helpful and being plain rude.
One thing I can not stand though, is when people completely tune out when I say I am not a fan of their work. That is just called being ignorant. You should always be wanting to improve your work, and if not, you’re simply in the wrong field. Yeah, it might be a smart idea to ask someone else if they think what I said was right or wrong, but don’t quit listening to me the second I say you could improve on something. Also, if your feelings are hurt from what I feel about your product or whatever you’re asking me about, get used to it. My words aren’t the harshest you’re going to hear in this world.
Anyways, to end on a softer note (how contradicting). you should always listen to what people have to say. It might be wrong, but at least you are hearing someone else’s opinion than yours. Also, do not say I am wrong to be blunt. Would you rather have me tell you something that isn’t true, just so I don’t hurt your feelings? Or do you want me to be honest?
