As you might’ve already seen, Jimmy Kimmel sent a team to the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year to interview festival-goers on their thoughts of the lineup. However, the interviewer in the video is using completely fake and made up band names to provide another excuse for people to make fun of this generation’s “hipsters”. Using names like “The Obesity Epidemic” to apparently trick the attendees into proving that they know everything about every band.

What I think Jimmy Kimmel isn’t telling you about this video is that the interviewer was actually using real band names, but later added in a post-recorded voice track into the video to make it seem like the fans were arrogant hipsters. I don’t get how more people aren’t catching this change in audio quality. The majority of viewers are ignoring this subtlety and just using the video as another way to make fun of the indian headdress, crop-top-wearing hippies.
