Since the days of Destiny’s Child there has been one clear star that has risen out of the group. She is better known as Beyonce, and she has broken the trend of those before her by having a better solo career than when she was in a group. It was no surprise that the Super Bowl snagged her as their halftime show this year. A performer that is equally as enticing for both men and women, the show had a lot of hype built around it.
When rumors initially started swarming about a Destiny’s Child reunion on the biggest stage of the year, former member Michelle Williams denied all rumors that she would be attending. The world found out that Michelle Williams is a big fat liar, when she and other member Kelly Rowland joined Beyonce on stage at halftime, belting out their most popular song Bootylicious. Beyonce was quick to tell them to get off the stage after the song was over so she could continue to remind the world why she went solo. However, even if it was only 45 seconds the other two were on stage, they should be kissing Beyonce’s feet for the opportunity.
Beyonce is like the more successful older sibling that starts handing out favors to her less fortunate little sister. She may have just resurrected the other 66% of Destiny’s Child’s careers.
