“We talked about our game plan, what we were gonna do as a team,” Godinez said. “We did that a lot in the first set and then it kind of went away as the game went on. We need to get better at staying focused with our game plan and just doing that throughout the whole game.”
The Warriors have been seen as a very physical, and well coached team. With a first set win, the Warriors caught the Titans off guard with their physicality. The Warriors got a lot of praise from Papillion-LaVista south head coach Katie Tarman.
“Westside’s a good team,” Tarman said. “They’re very physical, they have a big presence at the net. They served us very tough which, I don’t think we were ready for. I think it took us a minute to realize that they were ready to go and we weren’t quite so ready, so they are a good team,”
After taking third place in the Allison Weston Invitational over the weekend, the Warriors will travel to Omaha Benson on Tuesday.
