Westside played host to the top-ranked Omaha Burke Bulldogs on Thursday night at Phelps Field.  Led by 247 rushing yards on 46 attempts, the Bulldogs escaped with a 35-28 victory.  Their perfect record was upheld and improved to 6-0 in the win.

In the loss, Westside was led by 260 yards and two touchdowns on 25 completions from senior quarterback Dylan Plautz.  The dynamics duo of Plautz and Schweigart was back as Caleb ended the game with 102 yards on nine receptions for two touchdowns.  On the ground, Westside was led by Jaden Kohls who had 65 yards on 11 attempts.  Kicker Jack Bush also got in on the scoring with two fields goals for a total of six points and a long of 35.

Westside returns to action on the road at Lincoln North Star on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 7 p.m.
