The Westside varsity softball team played host to the Omaha Benson Bunnies Thursday evening. Backed by a one hit game and eight strikeouts from freshman pitcher Kyleigh Freeman, the girls topped the Bunnies by a score of 11-0 in four innings. The offense was led by sophomore right fielder Emma Rieser who went 3-for-3 with five runs batted in and a home run. The Warriors stole seven bases in the rout of the Bunnies.
The win improves Westside’s record to 5-14. They’ll return to action at Omaha South on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
