PREVIEW: Powderpuff

September 11, 2017

Once again it is time for the annual Powderpuff, one of many activities leading to the homecoming dance. It is a game of intense flag football, with junior and senior girls competing against each other.

Both grades have been having practices and training for the competition. Senior Emma Wilson feels ready to take on the juniors this year.

“Coming back from last year, we’re more prepared,” Wilson said. “We’ve been practicing pretty aggressively, practicing a lot. We’ve got some secrets coming.”

Still, junior Sylvia Fehr is confident her team will defeat the seniors.

“Don’t to be too disappointed when the juniors win,” Fehr said.

Monday at 7 p.m., the teams will finally get to face off. The admission fee to watch the games is $3, as well as some type of donation to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Good luck to both teams!
