Weekend in Review

November 2, 2015

Although the events were scarce this weekend, Westside was nothing less than spooktacular.

To start off the Halloween weekend the football team hosted Papillion-LaVista high school for their first playoff game. Papillion surprised the Warriors at first and were up 14-7 at half. The Warriors fought hard in the second half and capitalized on a missed extra point and won the game 28-27. Senior Logan Duryee carried the ball 173 yards and three touchdowns. Westside will be playing Omaha North at Northwest in their second playoff game. Good luck Warriors!

To close off the weekend, choir hosted Cabaret Night. Freshman and Warrior choir started the fundraiser at 3 p.m. and Concert and Warrior choir finished the night at 7 p.m. Cabaret contained multiple soloists along with pieces from Warrior Express, Simply Irresistible, and the Amazing Technicolor Show Choir. Raffle tickets were also bought and items were also auctioned off in order to raise money for the music department. Great job to the all of the programs!
