On Saturday, Sept. 5, Westside sophomore Jack Meehan died in the hospital following a suicide attempt two days prior. He is survived by his mother, father, and Max, his younger brother. At school, Jack was involved in Amazing Technicolor Show Choir, Boys Dive Team, Cycling Club, Quiz Bowl and Warrior Television. All of his schooling took place in District 66.
