Westside moves on.

There was no shortage of defense in Westside’s varsity football team’s playoff win over Lincoln East on Friday night.

With a score of 34-7, Westside was able to hold Lincoln to a shutout for the majority of the game.

With senior Dylan Packett racking up 108 yards and 2 touchdowns, the passing attack was there for the Warriors as well as just about everything else.

Allowing just 7 points and 70 all-purpose yards, Westside’s defense was able to hold Lincoln East back for a large portion of the game. They are now the only Class A team in the state to have given up less than 100 points all season.

Senior Kellen Goc was proud of the team and was impressed by the play.

“We really locked in to the defensive game plan and shut them down offensively,” Goc said.

Westside’s next game will be on Friday November 2nd when they play host to Millard West.
