eSports Review: CoD Modern Warfare Haunting of Verdansk (Warzone)

eSports Review: CoD Modern Warfare Haunting of Verdansk (Warzone)

“Call of Duty: Warzone” is one of the most dominating battle royal games of the year. Usually with the holidays come special modes and “Warzone” has brought some cool Halloween specials.

“Warzone” brought their game mode special “Haunting of Verdansk,” adding in-game jumpscares and special rewards. One of the things they implemented is a jump scare when you open up a supply crate. The jumpscare gets you sometimes when you aren’t paying attention but it got very annoying after a while. I think it was a good thing to add but have it less consistently or occur fewer times. The game mode also offers a few special rewards you can get, being a Halloween calling card and a butcher knife for exploring around the map. Once you’re finished with all the challenges you can earn a pumpkin skin.

Along with the “Warzone” special, a new Multiplayer mode they added called Zombie Royale. In the game mode you start out as People, then once you die you turn into a Zombie.  Once you are a Zombie you have to kill People. After you kill another player that isn’t a Zombie they drop a cure and you have to get two of them to turn back. The last team to stay alive and not be a Zombie wins. In my opinion, I liked the game mode. It was pretty fun and different. I liked how they made the map dark and special to the Halloween theme.

Overall, I give the Halloween theme a 9 out of 10. Giving it a Cash. The event is out till Nov. 3 and “Warzone” is free, so go out and give it a try if you haven’t yet.
