Crying is sort of a subjective thing. I tend to cry when I’m frustrated, anxious, or hit with a huge burst of intense sadness. I’m not reduced to tears by music, books, or movies very often (save for extremely heartbreaking things). Some people, however, find themselves so moved by music that they’re just left sobbing. Sometimes it’s due to a personal connection to the song, sometimes it’s due to the circumstances in which you listen to it, or sometimes it’s that one lyric that can trigger a waterfall of emotions. Society has moved a bit past demonizing the act of crying as it has in the past. You can revel in your emotions, celebrate the act of communicating what you feel. Below are a collection of songs that may allow people to let it out and feel how they feel without guilt. Even if they don’t have that effect, they’re moving nonetheless.
