October 9, 2017

Vala’s Pumpkin Patch

Vala’s Pumpkin Patch is home to many fun and exciting attractions. This includes the corn maze, various haunted houses, and hayrack rides. There is so much to explore at Vala’s, an entire day could be spent there. Vala’s is currently open until October 31 with many fun memories ready to be made.

Scary Acres

Scary Acres is a famous Omaha attraction known for their three popular terrifying scenarios. These include the haunted woods, the master’s castle, and the house on the hill. This is a great place for all of our thrill seekers. Scary acres not only has all of these attractions but they also have a great concession stand. Go to Scary Acres if you are in for a fright!

Spooktacular at Omaha Zoo and Aquarium

What happens after hours at your local zoo and aquarium? Visit the Lied Jungle to see free-flying bats or stop by Kingdom of the Night to see nocturnal animals during their daylight cycle. The evening includes admission to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium after-hours, trick-or-treating, and fun interactive activities for everyone to enjoy. This event is fun for all ages and an overall great experience. Starting next weekend they are allowing guests to come in and experience the animals after the zoo has closed. You can enter the zoo after hours and see the nocturnal animals come alive. The event begins on October 14th and the next two weekends following. The zoo closes at 4:30 p.m., readmittance begins at 5:30 p.m., and then the fun begins.

The Great Hall-oween Haunt

This annual event is a great time to practice dressing up for halloween. Join the fun at the Durham Museum in costume. Make a craft and take a tour of the Haunted Train and the Cobweb Caboose. Afterwards stop by the Swanson “Ghoulery” for a ghostly good time playing games such as Boo Bowling, Witch Hat Toss and Frankenstein Operation… if you dare! They end the night with a performance by UNO’s The Moving Company and a costume conga line!
